Relief operation initiated
TO HELP BULSU STUDENTS AFFECTED BY typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng which left Bulacan in a state of calamity, Student Government (SG) officers and fellow BulSU students organized a relief operation together with the Local Student Council (LSC) from every college as initiated by Ernest Timothy Flores, SG president. SG provided donation boxes at the university main gate, one in the administration building and another at the SG office in which students placed the said assistance. Students who received the relief were mostly from Hagonoy and Calumpit. “Biglaang plano without the approval of admin. . . ‘yung mga donation boxes, doon galing yung mga relief goods,” said Flores. Prior to this, the Supreme Student Council (SSC) discussed the assistance matters intended for the affected students and also to Santissima Trinidad Parish Church. SG officers sent text messages to fellow students soliciting any help and food, clothes and toiletries donations. Most of the goods were donated by Kabataang Liberal ng Pilipinas (KALIPI), Alpha Phi Omega (APO) fraternity and BulSU administration . (Kevin Rubio and Chico Miraflor) Possibly Related Posts:
