SG strikes back
![]() The BulSU Student Government released its new set of scholars. In line with this, the old set of scholars since Jovinel Yambao’s term was complaining that they were taken off from the list. In lieu with that, incumbent SG president Bianca Espeleta made a clarification during the meeting de avance held last February 26. She said that she called for a meeting of all the governors of all the colleges to search for all the old scholars since Yambao’s term and raised the issue of renewing their scholarship. But since some of the scholars were not found, SG officials called for another meeting with the scholars who haven’t heard of the news. SG selects it’s scholars by following various criteria. Then the applicants will undergo an examination at the guidance center and an interview with SG officials. After such deliberation the applicants will be categorized into three classes. But after weeks of waiting for the old scholars to comply with the renewal, SG decided to have its new set of scholars. The first batch of scholars received Php 3000, but a number of students were added and the financial aid became Php 2000. SG also formalized its scholarship program by having a memorandum with the accounting office and the scholarships office. “Hindi naman talaga kami nagtanggal ng mga scholars, hindi lang sila naka comply sa renewal process.” said Mark Anthony de Leon, incumbent SG vice-president to sum it up.
