COED strives for clean and green Roxas Hall
 With the support of Local Student Council (LSC), College of Education (COEd) students cleaned and decorated Roxas Hall last November 21 with the theme “Paligsahansa Kalinisan at Kagandahan ng Silid-Aralan.” Students used their creativity in decorating their assigned room/s given by LSC. They used decors to give scent to the coming holidays. Messy black boards and sticky floors became pleasant through their rags and brooms. Lobbies which are known as dirt prone areas were also included, that was why the assigned cleaners exerted more effort. Students’ complains and protests occurred in the middle of the activity. Some students escaped and let their class officers do the task. “Unfair kasi kami lang ung naglinis eh tatlong sections ang naka-assigned dito”, nagged by students from BSEd English as the other section didn’t lend a hand and nowhere to be found. Some students questioned the purpose of the activity and kicked their comment. “Unfair kasi kami ang nagdala ng decorations eh nasa kanila naman yung pondo”, stated by students from BSEd Social Science. In accordance with the objective of the activity, “¬¬It was meant to develop the sense of responsibility of COEd students” insisted by Gov. Castro, some students met the said objective and enlightened, “Masaya rin kasi bonding time para sa section, nalalaman din yung responsibity naming linisin ang Roxas Hall” stated by a COEd student as she and her classmates actively participated in the activity with the other assigned sections. The bustle was also supported by Rowel Castro, Governor of LSC in COEd, and Dr. Luzviminda F. Tantoco, Dean of CoEd. Gov.
