CoEd celebrates College Sportsfest
 July 29, 2008 marked an important every College of Education student as the college celebrated the start of its College Sportsfest. The festivities include the much awaited search for Mr. and Ms. CoEd. The participating organizations started the three-day celebration with a parade. Different CoEd organizations include E-circle (Society of Students Majoring English), SOTLES (Society of TLE Students), SOPHYSM (Society of Physical Science Students Major), KAPIMAPA (Kapisanan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Araling Panlipunan), SAMAFIL (Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral sa Filipino), ACOMAS (Association of Computer Majoring Students), MMS (Mapeh Major Society), GENSOC (Generalists Society), Pre-school Majors, SMMES (Society of Math Majoring Education Students), and LISSA (Library Information Science Students Association). The parade ended in front of the Roxas Hall where a program was held. “Since we only have three days to celebrate, you should make the most of it. Maging isport,” said Associate Dean Marilyn Vastillo during the program. Dr. Luzviminda Tantoco, CoEd Dean, said, “This is the first and formal sports fest. It will not be possible kundi dahil sa ating mga LSC (Local Student Council) Officers, sa mga organization officers, at sa lahat ng mga estudyante.” The program ended with a ballon take-off as a sign that the celebration has begun.
